![]() Mark of the Witch releases today 6/1/12 Magic flows through Jillian Proctor's veins as surely as blood, but so far her life outside Boston has been peaceful. William Morgan blows into Jilly's life like a hurricane, unleashing her magic and sending her out of control. Unknowingly, William brings an enemy who only wants to posses the power of the witch. Jilly must learn to harness her magic before she loses it - and everything in her life is destroyed. It's here! It's here! Today is the release of "Mark of the Witch" by Jessica Gibson. If you love novels about witches, about spells and magic, and about a steamy, dreamy hunk, you'll love this book! Thanks to the lovely Ms. Jessica Gibson, I'm allowed to offer two excerpts from the book... So read on my friends and scoop this book up! ![]() What do you do when you find out your family isn't your family, death is knocking at your door, and that guy you can't stop thinking about knows more about who you are than you do? Amelia Hoffman was just a normal 15-year-old until she found out the truth. Now ancient myths, supernatural beings, and murder have changed everything. Tests and school dances are no longer the biggest worry in her life-- she has to figure out how to save everyone she loves and accept the future in front of her before its too late. Today's flash fiction I set up the limits of :
1. It had to be no more and no less than 500 words. 2. It had to leave the reader wanting more, but still explain a situation - a serious situation - so that the reader could understand. 3. It had to evoke emotion. With that being said, I think I've done that. I title this little piece 'Alone'. Do you think I hit my target this Friday? ![]() Dark Corners is a fast-paced mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seat and take your emotions on a roller coaster ride. You will meet Ella Reynolds. Ella has become one of my very favorite characters to write. She is snarky and stubborn, but soft and gooey deep inside--though she wouldn't appreciate my saying so. She is a mass of contradictions: strong and fragile, tough and soft, funny and sad, alone but surrounded by ghosts. Her husband's murder changed everything for Ella and this is the story about leaving the past to find a future. What moment has validated you and made you feel like a writer? If it hasn't happened yet, what do you think it will be?
